HISTORY

In 2000, MitiTech, LLC dba Mitigation Technologies, was founded by Craig Schwartz in response to the growing need for his invention, Safetydrape®. The intention was to form a company to not only handle the production of Safetydrape® but to also invent and introduce other security products to market.

In 1990, as troops were being deployed to the Gulf War, Craig Schwartz learned from a TV news report that, "85% of death and injury from a bomb blast occurs because of flying glass and debris". At that time, Mr. Schwartz was the President of Skyline Mills, one of the premier drapery contractors to the Federal Government and the first company in the world to sell window coverings on a General Services Administration (GSA) contract. With his knowledge of fabric and background in engineering, Mr. Schwartz created Safetydrape®. By 2000 Mr. Schwartz formed MitiTech, LLC dba Mitigation Technologies as the company to develop and manufacture Safetydrape®.

Since then, Mitigation Technologies has expanded into the product areas of EMI/RFI Shielding as well as Blast and Ballistic Structure Reinforcing Composites.

As a manufacturing company, Mitigation Technologies sells its products through a dealer network. These highly trained dealers offer Mitigation Technologies' entire product line to a wide range of domestic and foreign government agencies, military installations, and public and private sector entities. The dealers' customer base includes the British Government, Defense Threat Reduction Agency, United Nations, Regional Readiness Commands, Transportation Industry, US Department of Agriculture, US Department of Justice, US Air Force, US Army, US Army Corps of Engineers, US Department of State, US Marine Corps, US Executive Office, and the US Navy. The customer base also includes financial, petrol, chemical and other private industries.
